Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Matola for an Traffic Management Executive (Junior). The Traffic Management Executive (Junior) supports the daily coordination of cargo movements, ensuring that shipments flow efficiently, safely, and on schedule. This role is ideal for someone starting their career in logistics who is detail‑oriented, proactive, and eager to learn the operational heartbeat of a transportation network.
The position involves close interaction with drivers, warehouse teams, carriers, agents, and clients to maintain smooth traffic operations and resolve issues in real time.
📌 Key Responsibilities
Operational Coordination
• Monitor daily vehicle movements, dispatch schedules, and route plans.
• Assist in assigning loads to drivers and ensuring timely departures and arrivals.
• Track shipments in transit and update internal systems with accurate status information.
Communication & Stakeholder Support
• Serve as a point of contact for drivers, providing instructions, updates, and support.
• Communicate with clients regarding delivery timelines, delays, or operational changes.
• Coordinate with warehouse and yard teams to ensure loading/unloading efficiency.
Documentation & Compliance
- Prepare and verify transport documents (delivery notes, manifests, PODs, etc.).
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle usage, fuel consumption, and route performance.
Issue Resolution
- Identify and escalate delays, route deviations, or operational disruptions.
- Support the team in resolving traffic bottlenecks, breakdowns, or last‑minute changes.
- Assist in analyzing recurring issues and proposing improvements.

🎓 Qualifications

• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
