Role Purpose
To support the successful delivery of its projects, UNOPS is seeking a Supply Chain Senior Management Officer based in Pemba, Cabo Delgado, Mozambique. The incumbent will work under the direct supervision of the Support Services Manager and will be responsible for overseeing supply chain and logistics operations in alignment with project requirements.
Functions / Key Results Expected
- Timely and efficient servicing of requests and processing transactions affects the team’s overall ability to deliver quality services to clients;
- Accurate, well organized and complete information and records facilitate decision making, and reduce need for corrective action resulting from errors;
- Client satisfaction based on feedback and performance indicators;
- Development of SOPs to ensure smooth customs clearance, Good Storage and Distribution practices and other Logistics elements as per UNOPS guidelines;
- Updated Logistics and Supply database;
- Monitoring Tools updated and all the related activities are well recorded .
Education Requirements
Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Administration, International Relations, Management, Asset Management or other related field is required;
Desired
- A Master’s Degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Asset Management or related subjects will be an asset and may substitute for up to 2 of the required years of experience.

Experience Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of professional experience in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Cargo Management or Asset Management;
- Computer literacy is required.
Desired
- Experience with UNOPS including oneUNOPS or other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) is desirable.
- Knowledge of Good Storage and Distribution practices would be an asset.
- Sound knowledge on implementation and managing Logistics Management Information System would be an asset.
- Knowledge of UN rules and regulations, particularly UNOPS procurement procedures would be an asset.
- Knowledge of government rules and regulations on Import/Export/Customs Clearance would be an asset.
