💧Consultancy Opportunity – Civil Engineer (Water Systems / Nampula Province) 💧
CARE Mozambique, through the Turning on the Taps project, is seeking a Civil Engineer to support our team in assessing boreholes and small water systems in Nampula Province.
This short-term consultancy will provide technical expertise to:
💧 Conduct assessments of boreholes and existing mini water systems
💧Produce technical recommendations and a detailed report on required repairs, upgrades, and solarization opportunities
📑 Draft Request for Quotation (RFQ) documents for rehabilitation works
🧰 Support the technical evaluation of received bids
🔍 Monitor rehabilitation and solarization works in coordination with the CARE field team
We’re looking for someone with:
✅ Proven experience in rural water supply systems, borehole design and rehabilitation, and solar-powered pumping
✅ Solid knowledge of Mozambican water infrastructure standards and regulations
✅ Ability to work collaboratively with community members, local authorities, and CARE’s technical staff
The consultant will work closely with the Turning Taps team to ensure high-quality, sustainable solutions that enhance access to clean and reliable water for rural communities.
📍 Location: Nampula Province, Mozambique
📅 Duration: Short-term consultancy (max 3 months)
