📌 Job Title: Environmental Engineer
📍 Work Location: Maputo
🕘 Working Hours:
08:00 – 17:00, with a two-hour lunch break at noon.
Key Responsibilities:
1.Implement and monitor Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and environmental management systems.
2.Ensure compliance with applicable environmental and safety legislation.
3.Develop, implement, and monitor Environmental Management Plans (EMP/PGA).
4.Participate in the preparation and monitoring of EPDA (Pre-Feasibility and Scoping Study) and REIA (Environmental Impact Assessment Report).
5.Conduct environmental and safety inspections at work sites.
6.Identify environmental and occupational risks and propose mitigation measures.
7.Prepare environmental and HSE technical reports.
8.Promote training and awareness programs on safety, occupational health, and environmental protection.
9.Support internal and external environmental and safety audits.
10.Monitor waste management, pollution control, and sustainable resource use.
11.Investigate incidents, workplace accidents, and non-conformities, proposing corrective and preventive actions.
12.Coordinate the implementation of environmental and safety emergency measures.
13.Support the preparation of documentation for environmental licensing and compliance with regulatory authority requirements.
Requirements:
1.Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Management, Environmental Engineering, HSE, or related fields.
2.Female candidates up to 35 years old.
3.Minimum of 2 years of experience in environmental and/or HSE fields.
4.Proven experience with PGA (Environmental Management Plan), EPDA, and REIA.
5.Fluency in Portuguese and English.
6.Availability to travel when required.
7.Strong communication, organizational, leadership, and teamwork skills.
