Vaga – Provider Agent

Objective

The Provider Agent plays a vital role in providing frontline operational support to Mediplus healthcare service providers. You will be responsible for maintaining strong provider relationships, delivering systems and process training, ensuring device functionality, and supporting efficient claims processing. Your work will help ensure that Mediplus members receive reliable, high-quality care while our providers remain informed, engaged, and compliant with company procedures.

 

Main Responsibilities Include:

Provider Support and Oversight

· Conduct regular visits to Mediplus-accredited healthcare providers.

· Maintain professional communication with all network providers.

· Train providers on Mediplus devices and digital claims systems.

· Troubleshoot and maintain device functionality.

· Monitor provider performance and service quality standards.

· Address provider concerns promptly and escalate issues where necessary.

 

Claims & Invoice Support

· Train providers on accurate and timely claims submission.

· Assist with resolving rejected or delayed claims.

· Collect and verify provider invoices for completeness and accuracy.

· Support reconciliation and submission of invoices as required.

 

Provider Network Expansion

· Identify potential new providers for inclusion in the Mediplus network.

· Conduct preliminary assessments and support onboarding.

· Provide system setup and training for newly onboarded providers.

 

Stakeholder Engagement & Field Reporting

· Serve as the key liaison between Mediplus operations and provider sites.

· Submit weekly activity reports detailing visits, feedback, and issues resolved.

· Attend internal coordination meetings and communicate provider insights.

· Maintain accurate records of visits, device tracking, and training sessions.

· Support Mediplus projects and initiatives that involve provider engagement.

 

Experience & Qualification:

o Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in provider relations, health services, or operational support.

o Diploma or degree in Health Administration, IT, Business, or related field.

o Knowledge of health insurance or medical aid systems is an advantage.

o Fieldwork experience with healthcare providers is strongly preferred.

 

Skills & attributes:

o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

o Technical aptitude in device use and troubleshooting.

o Ability to manage multiple field-based relationships.

o Proactive, organised, and able to work independently.

o High level of integrity and accountability.

o Fluent in Portuguese and English.

o Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively.

 

Technical knowledge:

  • Strong command of Microsoft Excel, including formulas (e.g., VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIF, IFERROR), pivot tables, filters, and conditional formatting.
  • Data Accuracy and Validation: Ability to use tools to check data integrity, identify duplicates, and validate totals across datasets.
  • Reconciliation Techniques: Knowledge of methods for matching entries, detecting discrepancies, and tracking adjustments.
  • Basic Accounting Knowledge: Understanding of debits/credits, general ledger, invoice lifecycle, and cost centers.
